Sylvan Hills Store: AC Drain Cleaner, 32 Fluid Oz, 12 Month Supply, Made in the USA, w/Drain BrushI ordered this product to treat the condensate drain lines from my two heat pumps. Several years ago, while I was away from my house, I had the upstairs heat pump’s condensation line develop a clog. The condensate filled up the line and eventually spilled out and seriously damaged the kitchen ceiling and a countertop below. I do not want that to happen again. In the interim, I have been treating the condensate lines for my heat pumps by pumping dissolved dishwasher detergent in very hot water through the condensate lines. It works quite well but is an absolute nightmare to accomplish. Therefore, I decided to give this method a try.Since my undergraduate degree is in Chemistry, I think I know something about the subject. I have reviewed the ingredients that this product contains and I have no objections. This product does not contain any Methyl Ethyl Death or any of its related compounds. It seems to contain the right stuff to kill, dissolve, and remove the biological plaques that form inside the drain lines and allow them to be flushed from the lines with fresh condensate. I also believe that once the biofilm is removed, it is much less likely to re-attach to the walls of the drain line.I will use this product this week to clean my heat pump’s condensate lines. If there are any issues, I will update this review with additional information.
I'm trying this out as a preventive step to keep my central A/C system in good shape between professional maintenance visits. I don't have any clogs or drainage issues right now, but I liked the idea of using something that might help prevent buildup over time.This was pretty easy to use. I measured out the recommended amount, poured it into the drain line, and waited about 20 minutes before turning the system back on. Depending on your setup, you might need a funnel or something to help pour, but it wasn't complicated. I also didn't notice any reaction or issues with the PVC pipe, which I was a little cautious about at first.It comes with a long drain snake that looks like it would be helpful if there ever were a clog. Thankfully I haven't needed to test that part yet. I'm mainly using this as part of a maintenance routine, so I can't speak to how well it clears an active blockage.Overall, it seems like a simple way to stay ahead of potential problems. I'll keep using it every 3 months as recommended and see how it goes.

works good, non corrosive, reasonable price. The stainless steel clean out brush was a nice bonus.
