My Keurig needed a good cleaning, so I ordered this Sylvan Hills Descaling Solution (Compatible with Keurig) to try. It came with a cleaning cloth rubber banded around the bottle, as well as detailed (and I means, DETAILED) instructions for how to use the solution in a variety of Keurig machines. My machine is just a single cup brewer, without any sort of reservoir, other than the one where you can pour in anywhere from 8 ounces to 12 ounces of water to make a cup of coffee. I followed the directions as best I could, because even though there were so many different machines listed on the front and back of the paper, there did not seem to be directions specifically for my model.Regardless, the directions were self explanatory for the most part. You put 4 ounces of the de scaler into the chamber, fill it up the rest of the way with water, don’t put in a coffee pod, and then hit start.Frankly, the more nonspecific directions on the bottle itself were of greater help to me, because they clearly state you run the decalcifier through diluted with water, after which you run another portion of water through to clean out the decalcifier from inside the machine, and you wipe out the water chamber with the cloth.Needless to say, it all worked out fine for me. I’m glad I descaled the machine, and my coffee is as good as usual. I do think the machine is running even more rapidly than before, so it really did need to be cleaned out.Lastly, I like that it is made in the USA. And the best part is, there is no odd or vinegary odor noticeable when using this product, since the active ingredient is citric acid.
Worked great with our Keurig.
